Friends of the Murphy Center

Thank you for making our first Homeless Awareness Day (including the Mission to Hope Walk and Murphy Center Community Dinner) a success through your ticket purchases, guest sponsorships, donations and participation!

With your help, I believe that we met our goals for the day including:

  • Facilitating a day of community unity and fellowship

  • Building awareness for and constructive conversation around homelessness in our community
  • Spotlighting all the ways we (Murphy Center, Homeward Alliance, City Leadership, Service Providers, Engaged Citizens) have come together as a community to collaboratively work toward our mutual vision to make homelessness rare, short-lived and non-recurring
  • Provided 100% of the proceeds of both events to support the programs and services provided or facilitated at the Murphy Center

We are also thankful and excited that more than 85 guests (people we serve) of the Murphy Center enjoyed an evening of conversation, entertainment, fellowship and great food at the Murphy Center Community Dinner or enjoyed a Saturday morning at the Murphy Center and catered Brunch as part of the Mission to Hope Walk and MC Open House.  Thank you for making that possible!

Thank you so much for your support of Homeward Alliance, The Murphy Center, and most importantly our mission to help people survive crisis, move forward into stabilization and ultimately thrive in a return to self-sufficiency and to help our community fulfill its vision to make homelessness rare, short-lived and non-recurring.
